The coffee is good. But for an office environment, which is what I got this for, it is way too loud. I'm getting comments everytime I use it and it's simply a distraction. This is a fine coffee maker. It's not too loud just for the last few seconds, it is loud the ENTIRE TIME IT BREWS. So, a fine coffee maker, just not for the office around a lot of people. The cup is of decent quality. Takes only a few minutes to make coffee.
You can probably use pods too - just take the filter out - I will never know though, because pods are too expensive for me. The coffee is good and hot. Ir does not take up too much room on the counter and it fits all my mugs fine - you can fit mugs up to about 5.25" tall. I think this is the best deal if you are looking for a single cup maker. The travel mug is nice and does fit in my minivan's cup holder. I looked into to all my options for a single cup coffee maker and chose this one because it thought it would do the job and the price is great.
I only drink 2-3 cups a day and I'm the only one in my house that likes coffee. I use plain old foldgers coffee and no grounds go through to the cup, the permanent filter works well. - Also, free shipping because I am on a trial run on Amazon Prime (which is awesome by the way). It takes just a few minutes from start to finish and automatically shuts off when it's done brewing. Some others looked like you can only use tiny cups and some came in colors that would look weird in my kitchen and some force you to use pods or disposable filters - this one is perfect for me. I am soooo happy with this purchase.
One thing that was not made clear in the description is that you can use any cup, not just the travel mug - so less things to wash.
I'm a huge coffee drinker and I don't like hot coffee, I like HOT coffee. Sometimes, people will say let's just use the baby coffee maker so I don't even brew a whole pot.
That's just not an issue if you are, like me, a fanatic about drinking coffee only when first brewed. You do use more coffee than if you make full pots.
I've been using this around 10 times per day for a full year and I still love it. I have two percolators that I use when I have company -- usually.
I highly recommend this product. There is nothing negative to say about it.
This gives me a really good, really hot cup of coffee -- fast.
It takes about 3 min. The reusable filter is messy and tough to clean quickly. We had a senseo pod maker and it sucked. to have a cup of coffee ready to go. The travel cup is a good size, but the top just snaps on, it doesn't screw on. I bought this coffee maker for my husband who enjoys Dunkin Donuts coffee.
There are not too many coffee makers out there that allow you to use coffee grounds on a single cup maker. It also turns off automatically and I don't have to worry about it accidentally being left on. He is the only one in the house who drinks coffee and we have gone through several coffee makers trying to find one that made good coffee, was easy to clean up after, and brewed quickly. The one suggestion I have is to buy small coffee filters to use instead of the reusable one it comes with. Buy it. I can honestly say its the best one yet.
With this coffee maker he can use the Dunkin Donuts coffee grounds and have a decent cup of coffee right before leaving for work.
Use the #2 filter if you do not want to wash the filter. That is all I expect from a $14 machine. I bought the coffee maker more than 3 years ago and use it every single working days in my office. It still performs as expected, that is brew a cup of coffee quickly and keeps the coffee hot/warm.
